Marion Hargrove was an American writer and screenwriter. Born in Mount Olive, North Carolina, he began his career as a journalist before serving as a war correspondent during the Second World War. After the war, Hargrove settled in Los Angeles and wrote screenplays and television scripts. He received a Writers Guild of America award for his screenplay for the 1962 film *The Music Man*.
