## Biography

Marissa Neitling is an American actress. Born on 8 May 1984 in Lake Oswego, Oregon, she graduated from Lake Oswego High School in 2002 and earned a BA from the University of Oregon, where she double-majored in mathematics and theatre arts. She later obtained an MFA in acting from the Yale School of Drama.

Neitling first appeared on screen in the 2007 film *The Go-Getter*. She had a guest role in the series *Leverage* in 2011 and played Phoebe in the 2015 film *San Andreas*. Her most prominent role was as Lt. Kara Foster (later Green) in the TNT series *The Last Ship* (2014–2018), appearing in all five seasons. She has also guest-starred in *Elementary* (2018) and *Madam Secretary* (2018–2019).
