Mark Benton is an English actor and television presenter. Born on 16 November 1965 in Guisborough, North Yorkshire, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in 1990 after early experience with Middlesbrough Youth Theatre.

He is known for television roles including Bob Hobbs in *Gimme Gimme Gimme* (1999), Eddie in *Early Doors* (2003–2004), Martin Pond in *Barbara* (1999–2003), Daniel 'Chalky' Chalk in *Waterloo Road* (2011–2014), and Frank Hathaway in *Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators* (2018–). He appeared as a contestant on *Strictly Come Dancing* in 2013.
