## Biography

Mark Critch is a Canadian comedian, actor and writer. Born in St John's, Newfoundland, he began performing in sketch comedy as a teenager and first appeared on television at the Halifax Comedy Festival.

He joined the writing team of the satirical series *This Hour Has 22 Minutes* in 2002 and became a regular cast member from 2003. Critch is also known for his film roles as Henry Tilley in *The Grand Seduction* (2013) and as Gary Bettman in *BlackBerry* (2023). He created and stars in the series *Son of a Critch* (2022–).
