## Biography

Mark Evans is a Welsh comedy writer, director and actor. Born on 3 November 1973 in Wrexham, he was raised there and studied Classics at the University of Cambridge, where he served as president of the Footlights.

His television writing credits include *That Mitchell and Webb Look* (2006–2010) and an episode of *The Amazing World of Gumball* (2015). He created the BBC Radio 4 series *Bleak Expectations* (2007–2012), which was adapted for television as *The Bleak Old Shop of Stuff* (2011). Other credits include *Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway* and various radio and stage work.
