## Biography

Mark Everest is a British television director. He began his career in commercials and promotions after art college, working freelance and then in the promotions department at Channel 4, where he made award-winning trailers and idents. In the mid-1990s he moved into programme-making as a documentary director, writing and directing for Discovery, National Geographic, Channel 4 and the BBC, and receiving two BAFTA nominations.

Everest transitioned to drama with the 2008 *Torchwood* episode *Adrift*. Subsequent credits include multiple episodes of *Primeval* (2009–2011, including as lead director on seasons 4 and 5), *Law & Order: UK* (2009–2011), *Silent Witness*, *Wizards vs Aliens* and later series such as *The Level* and *Strike Back*.
