## Biography

Mark Leese is a production designer whose film credits include *This Is England* (2006), *The Magdalene Sisters* (2002), *Neds* (2010) and *The Wife* (2017). He has also worked on television series such as *Vigil* (2021) and *The Nest* (2020).

After five years studying fine art at art college, Leese began in theatre as a set painter. He later completed a postgraduate diploma in electronic imaging and returned to theatre as a set designer before moving into short films and feature work. He worked in theatre for ten years and is also an established theatre director. His first feature, *The Magdalene Sisters*, won prizes at festivals worldwide.
