## Biography

Mark Lewis Jones is a Welsh actor. Born on 31 August 1964 in Rhosllannerchrugog, Wrexham, he began acting as a teenager with the Clwyd Youth Theatre and trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. He has performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company and at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London.

Jones is known for roles including Tom Christie in the series *Outlander* (2014–), Shagga in *Game of Thrones* (2011), Captain Canady in *Star Wars: The Last Jedi* (2017), General Pikalov in *Chernobyl* (2019) and Edward Millward in *The Crown* (2016). He won a BAFTA Cymru award for Best Actor for his performance in the 2015 film *The Passing / Yr Ymadawiad*.
