## Biography

Mark Thompson is a set and costume designer working in theatre, opera and film. He designed the costumes for the 1994 film *The Madness of King George*, directed by Nicholas Hytner, after creating the designs for the stage production *The Madness of George III* at the National Theatre.

His theatre credits include *Mamma Mia!*, *Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat* and *Tina: The Musical*. He has received five Laurence Olivier Awards and two Critics' Circle Awards, and has been nominated for Tony Awards.
