## Biography

Markus Förderer is a German cinematographer. Born in Baden-Baden in 1983, he studied at the University of Television and Film Munich. He began working as a director of photography in 2007 and has since shot both independent features and large-scale productions.

Förderer is known for his collaborations with director Tim Fehlbaum, beginning with *Hell* (2011), for which he received the German Camera Award. His other credits include *I Origins* (2014), *Stonewall* (2015), *Independence Day: Resurgence* (2016), *Red Notice* (2021), *Bliss* (2021), *Constellation* (2024) and *September 5* (2024). He joined the American Society of Cinematographers in 2019 and won the German Film Award for Best Cinematography for *September 5* in 2025.
