## Biography

Marta Látalová (née Stuchlíková) was a Czech film editor. She worked primarily in animation at Studio Bratři v triku in Prague from the late 1940s until the end of the 1980s.

After studying at a family school and a school of arrangement and fashion accessories, she began in an advertising atelier before joining the studio, where she progressed from colourist and editing assistant to editor of animated shorts, feature films and series. Her credits include *Fantastic Planet* (1973, co-edited with Hélène Arnal), *Automatic* (1973) and numerous episodes of the *Krtek* (Little Mole) series.

She was married to television director Jiří Látal and was the mother of animator and director Jiří Látal.
