## Biography

Marta Maffucci is an Italian production designer. She graduated in architecture from the University of Rome in 1984 and received a diploma in scenography from the Scuola Nazionale di Cinematografia the following year.

Maffucci began working in film in the late 1980s and received her first major credit as production designer on Nanni Moretti’s *Caro diario* (1993). She has since collaborated regularly with directors including Moretti, Daniele Vicari and Ferzan Özpetek, with credits including *Aprile* (1998), *Diaz - Don't Clean Up This Blood* (2012), *Fasten Your Seatbelts* (2014), *Ordinary Happiness* (2019), *Lord of the Ants* (2022) and *A World Apart* (2024).

She has been nominated three times for the David di Donatello for best production design. Since 2011 she has taught scenography at the Scuola d’Arte Cinematografica Gian Maria Volonté in Rome, which she helped to found.
