Marthe Keller is a Swiss actress and opera director. Born on 28 January 1945 in Basel, she studied ballet before a skiing accident led her to acting. She trained and worked in Berlin at the Schiller Theatre and the Berliner Ensemble.

Keller's early film roles include an uncredited appearance in *Funeral in Berlin* (1966) and work in German and French productions. She gained international recognition for her performances in *Marathon Man* (1976), *Black Sunday* (1977) and *Fedora* (1978). Later credits include *Hereafter* (2010), *Page Eight* (2011) and *One Life* (2023) as Betty Maxwell, alongside voice work in *Mars Express* (2023).

In 2001 she appeared on Broadway in *Judgment at Nuremberg* and received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress. She has also directed opera.
