Martin Henderson is a New Zealand actor born on 8 October 1974 in Auckland. He began acting at the age of thirteen and first gained recognition in his home country for playing Stuart Neilson in the soap opera *Shortland Street* from 1992 to 1995.

Henderson moved to Australia and then the United States, where he appeared in films including *Windtalkers* (2002) and starred as Noah Clay opposite Naomi Watts in *The Ring* (2002). Subsequent film roles include *Everest* (2015), *Miracles from Heaven* (2016) and *X* (2022).

On television, he has played Dr Nathan Riggs in *Grey's Anatomy* (2015–2017), Dr Ben Keeton in *Off the Map* (2011) and Jack Sheridan in *Virgin River* (2019–present).
