Martin Herdman is a British actor. Born on 24 July 1956 in Wales, he initially pursued a career in sport as a heavyweight boxer, winning the London championship, and as a professional rugby league player for Fulham RLFC, representing Wales.

He later moved into acting, with stage work including a season at Shakespeare's Globe and the role of Bottom in *A Midsummer Night's Dream* at Nottingham Playhouse. On screen, his credits include *Revolver* (2005), *Stormbreaker* (2006), the voice of Gendarme Rigaumon in *Loving Vincent* (2017), and the lead in *Sink* (2018). Television appearances encompass *The Bill*, *Midsomer Murders*, *Waking the Dead*, *Holby City* and *Casualty*. He received a Best Actor award for the short film *Rite* (2010).
