## Biography

Martin Kenzie (29 April 1956 – 16 July 2012) was a British cinematographer and second unit director. Born in Cambridge, England, he began his career as a production runner before working in the camera department on films including *The Shining* (1980) as assistant camera.

He later served as director of photography on episodes of the television series *Rome* (2005) and *Game of Thrones* (2012), for which the season three premiere was dedicated to his memory. Kenzie was a member of the British Society of Cinematographers and received GBCT Operators Awards for his work on *Hamlet* (1996) and *Band of Brothers* (2001).
