## Biography

Martin West (born Martin Weixelbaum) was an American actor of film and television. He began his career on Broadway in *The Andersonville Trial* (1959) and made his film debut as the title character in *Freckles* (1960).

West appeared in numerous films including *Harper* (1966), *Soldier Blue* (1970), *Family Plot* (1976), *Assault on Precinct 13* (1976) as Lawson, and *Mac and Me* (1988) as Wickett. His television work included recurring roles in soap operas such as *General Hospital* and guest appearances in series including *Perry Mason*, *Bonanza*, *Matlock* and *Highway to Heaven*. He retired from acting in 1990.
