## Biography

Martín Zimmerman is an American playwright and television writer. He graduated summa cum laude from Duke University with a BS in theatre studies and economics, and later earned an MFA in playwriting from the University of Texas at Austin.

He is known for his work on the Netflix series *Ozark* (2017–2022), where he wrote episodes and served as supervising producer, and as creator and writer of the Spanish-language series *Puerta 7* (2020). His other television credits include staff writing on *Narcos* (2015) and writing an episode of *Surface* (2022). Zimmerman has also written plays including *On the Exhale* (2017).

He has received Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Drama Series for his work on *Ozark*.
