## Biography

Marty Hornstein was an American film producer and production manager. He began his career as an assistant director in the late 1960s before moving into production roles.

His credits include associate producer on *Silent Running* (1972), for which he also served as production manager, and associate producer on *Truck Turner* (1974) and *Bad Boys* (1983). He worked as unit production manager or executive producer on several *Star Trek* films, including *Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country* (1991), *Star Trek: First Contact* (1996), *Star Trek: Insurrection* (1998) and *Star Trek: Nemesis* (2002).

Hornstein served on the faculty of the American Film Institute from 1976 to 1983 and was senior vice president of production for Kings Road Entertainment. He died on 19 December 2013.
