## Biography

Mary Husband was a British costume designer. She contributed to the BBC series *Doctor Who* in 1972, credited on four episodes including *Day of the Daleks*. Other early credits include the sitcom *Open All Hours* (1976).

Husband worked extensively on BBC comedy programmes, serving as costume designer on *The Two Ronnies* (1973–1987, 57 episodes), *You Rang, M'Lord?* (1988–1993), *Hi-de-Hi!* and *Oh Doctor Beeching!* (1995–1997). She was born in Runcorn, Cheshire, in 1934 and died on 5 June 2025. She had a long-term relationship with writer Jimmy Perry.
