## Biography

Mary Lambert is an American film and television director. She was born on 13 October 1951 in Helena, Arkansas, and graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA.

Lambert began her career directing music videos, including several for Madonna. She made her feature debut with *Siesta* (1987) and is known for the horror films *Pet Sematary* (1989) and *Pet Sematary Two* (1992). Her television directing credits include episodes of *Tales from the Crypt* (1989), *The Blacklist* (2016), *Arrow* (2017), *The Goldbergs* (2021) and *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* (2022). She has also directed under the pseudonym Alan Smithee.

Her sister is former U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln. She has been married to Jerome Gary since 1991.
