## Biography

Mary Laws is an American writer and producer for film and television. She co-wrote the screenplay for the 2016 film *The Neon Demon* and has contributed episodes to the series *Preacher* (2016–2018) and *Succession* (2019). She created and served as showrunner for the 2020 Hulu anthology series *Monsterland*.

Laws is also a playwright. Her play *Blueberry Toast* premiered in 2018. She studied playwriting at Yale, where she was taught by Paula Vogel and Sarah Ruhl.
