## Biography

Mary Morris (13 December 1915 – 14 October 1988) was a Fijian-born British actress. She trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and made her stage debut in *Lysistrata* at the Gate Theatre, London, in 1935 or 1936.

She appeared in British films of the 1930s and 1940s, including *The Spy in Black* (1939) and *The Thief of Bagdad* (1940). On television she played Professor Madeleine Dawnay in *A for Andromeda* (1961) and its sequel, Cleopatra in the BBC's *The Spread of the Eagle* (1963), and Number Two in the *The Prisoner* episode 'Dance of the Dead' (1967). Later roles included appearances in *Doctor Who* (1982) and *Full Circle* (1977).
