## Biography

Masaaki Daimon is a Japanese actor. Born on 10 March 1949 in Takasago, Hyogo Prefecture, he trained with the Waseda University theatre company Kodama and later joined the Kumo Theatre Company. His film debut came in Yasuzō Masumura’s *Asobi*.

Daimon is known for his roles as Gō Kashima in *Lady Snowblood* (1973), Keisuke Shimizu in *Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla* (1974), Captain Kusakari in *Terror of Mechagodzilla* (1975), and Masa in *Sailor Suit and Machine Gun* (1981). He has also appeared in television series including *Ultraman 80* (1980–1981) as Chief Junichi Itoh and *Dennou Keisatsu Cybercop* (1988–1989) as Captain Oda Hisayoshi.
