## Biography

Masakatsu Takagi is a Japanese composer and musician. Born on 3 October 1979 in Kameoka, Kyoto, he graduated from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies with a degree in English.

He is known for his scores for director Mamoru Hosoda’s animated films *Wolf Children* (2012), *The Boy and the Beast* (2015) and *Mirai* (2018). He also composed the music for the documentary *The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness* (2013). Takagi has released several solo albums and works as a visual artist.
