## Biography

Masako, also credited as 大岡雅子, was a Japanese actress and model. She played Shizuko Yamamura in the horror film *Ring* (1998), and reprised the role in *Ring 2* (1999) and *Ring 0: Birthday* (2000).

Born in Tokyo in 1964, she began modelling in 1983 and appeared in magazines including *an・an* and *Croissant*. Her other film roles include *Figaro Story* (1991). She died in Tokyo in 2015.
