## Biography

Massimo Popolizio is an Italian actor and voice actor. Born on 4 July 1961 in Genoa, he trained at the Silvio D'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome, graduating in 1984. He began his career in the theatre and maintained a long collaboration with director Luca Ronconi.

Popolizio has appeared in numerous films, including *Romanzo Criminale* (2005), *Il Divo* (2008) as Vittorio Sbardella, *The Great Beauty* (2013) as Alfio Bracco, *Leopardi* (2014) as Monaldo Leopardi, *I'm Back* (2018) as Benito Mussolini, and *Once Upon a Time in Bethlehem* (2019) as Erode. He is also known for voice work, including dubbing Lord Voldemort in the *Harry Potter* films, and has received several Nastro d'Argento awards for both acting and dubbing.
