Matt Engstrom is an American animation director and producer. He was born on 24 July 1972 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He began working on the animated series *King of the Hill* (1997) in layout and retake roles before directing five episodes between 2003 and 2008. Engstrom has directed episodes of *The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy* (2006–2007), *The Cleveland Show* (2009–2011), *Monsters vs. Aliens* (2013–2014) and *The Boss Baby: Back in Business* (2018). He served as supervising director on *All Hail King Julien* (2014–2015) and as animation director on *The Penguins of Madagascar* (2009–2015), later working as supervising producer on *The Boss Baby* series.
