Matt O'Brien is a television writer and producer. He worked on *Brooklyn Nine-Nine* (2014–2015) as a writer, story editor and executive story editor.

He has had a long association with programmes starring Conan O'Brien, serving as head writer and writer on the talk show *Conan* (2010–2020) and as a writer on *Conan O'Brien Must Go* (2024). Since 2024 he has been a writer on *The Daily Show*. He has also written material for *The Oscars* television specials.

O'Brien has received one Primetime Emmy Award and over twenty nominations in total.
