Matt Porter is an American writer and director. He has contributed to the animated series *Family Guy* as a writer, story editor and executive story editor since 2023, and served as staff writer on the 2024 series *ted*.

Earlier in his career he co-created, co-wrote and co-directed the web series *New Timers* and co-wrote, co-directed and co-starred in the feature film *5 Doctors* (2016). His short films have screened at festivals including Tribeca, and he has directed content for *The Chris Gethard Show* and other comedy platforms.
