Matt Sakatani Roe is a cinematographer whose credits include the Netflix film *Purple Hearts* (2022), directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum. He has also served as director of photography on *Sneakerella* (2022), *The God Committee* (2021) and *My Dead Friend Zoe* (2024).

A native of Alabama, Roe studied media at Auburn University. After moving to Los Angeles he interned for director Mark Pellington and later shot second-unit work on several of his projects, including the 2018 Sundance selection *Nostalgia*. He has collaborated repeatedly with Rosenbaum and frequently works with Sony VENICE cameras paired with Cooke S7/i lenses.
