Matt Weitzman is an American television writer and producer. Born in Los Angeles, California, on 13 November 1967, he graduated from American University with a degree in communications.

He was an original writer on the animated series *Family Guy* (1999) and co-created *American Dad!* (2005) with Seth MacFarlane and Mike Barker, serving as its showrunner. He has also written for *The PJs* (1999) and *Father of the Pride* (2004). Weitzman received Primetime Emmy nominations for his work on *Family Guy* and *American Dad!*. He is married to Tessa Weitzman, daughter of screenwriter Jeffrey Boam.
