## Biography

Matthew Carlisle is an American producer and former assistant director. He began his career in the 1980s as a second assistant director on films including *Silent Madness* (1984) and progressed to first assistant director on features such as *Rising Sun* (1993), *Copycat* (1995) and *Twister* (1996).

As a producer he worked on the television series *The Mentalist* (2008–2015), for which he is credited on 103 episodes, as well as *The Forgotten* (2009–2010), *Eleventh Hour* (2008–2009) and *Big Shots* (2007–2008). He also produced the 1998 film *The Unknown Cyclist*.
