## Biography

Matthew McManus is an American director, writer and producer. He frequently collaborates with his brother Kevin McManus, often credited as The McManus Brothers. He holds a BFA from Emerson College.

McManus made his feature directorial debut with *Funeral Kings* (2012), which premiered at South by Southwest. He contributed story and teleplay credits to two episodes of the series *Cobra Kai* (2019) and served as consulting producer on the show. With his brother, he co-wrote and produced episodes of *American Vandal* (2017–2018), earning a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series or Movie and a Peabody Award.

He co-directed and co-wrote the Netflix film *The Block Island Sound* (2021) and the 2025 film *Redux Redux*.
