Perry gained international recognition for his role as Chandler Bing in the NBC sitcom *Friends* (1994–2004), for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination in 2002. He earned further Emmy nominations for appearances in *The West Wing* (2003) and for his performance in the television film *The Ron Clark Story* (2006). His other notable television work includes *Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip* (2006–2007) and the revival of *The Odd Couple* (2015–2017).
