## Biography

Matthew Ross, also credited as Matthew M. Ross, is an American film director, screenwriter and journalist based in New York.

He wrote two episodes of the ABC series *Nashville* (2017) and served as creative consultant for its fifth season. His feature directorial debut was *Frank & Lola* (2016), which he also wrote; the film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was released by Universal Studios. He directed the feature *Siberia* (2018) and three episodes of the Hulu series *Wu-Tang: An American Saga* (2021–2023).

Ross has directed and written several short films. He previously worked as a journalist for publications including *Variety* and *Filmmaker*, and graduated cum laude from Harvard University.
