## Biography

Matthew Temple is an Australian cinematographer and member of the Australian Cinematographers Society. He has more than thirty years’ experience in the camera department, beginning as a trainee at ABC Television in Sydney and progressing through roles as assistant, operator and Steadicam operator before becoming a director of photography.

Temple’s feature debut as cinematographer was the 2023 horror film *Late Night with the Devil*, for which he received AACTA, AFCA and FCCA nominations. Earlier credits as Steadicam or camera operator include *The Wolverine* (2013), *Tracks* (2013) and *The Sapphires* (2012). On television he has shot series including three seasons of *Please Like Me*, *Five Bedrooms* (2019–2023), *Frayed* (2019–2021) and *New Gold Mountain* (2021). He has won several ACS awards and a Gold ACS award for the drama *New Gold Mountain*.
