## Biography

Matthew Zinman is a television writer and producer. He grew up in East Meadow, New York, and attended Quinnipiac University. He began his career in production roles, working as a production assistant on series including *CSI: Miami*, *Still Standing* and *The Loop*.

Zinman joined *How I Met Your Mother* (2005) in its third season as a showrunner’s assistant and was later promoted to staff writer alongside frequent collaborator Craig Gerard. He contributed as a writer, story editor and executive story editor across multiple seasons, and served as co-producer on the final season. He has written episodes of *Trial & Error* (2017), *Me, Myself & I* (2017), *A to Z* (2014), *Telenovela* (2015) and *Broke* (2020), and worked as a producer on several of these series. Recent credits include writing for *Bad Thoughts* (2025) and *Stumble* (2025–2026).
