Maurice Herbert Evans (3 June 1901 – 12 March 1989) was an English actor. He began his professional stage career in 1926 and appeared with the Old Vic company before moving to the United States in the mid-1930s, where he became known for his Broadway performances in Shakespearean roles including Richard II, Hamlet and Macbeth.

His screen appearances include Dr. Zaius in *Planet of the Apes* (1968) and *Beneath the Planet of the Apes* (1970), Hutch in *Rosemary's Baby* (1968), Hobart in *The Jerk* (1979), and the recurring role of Maurice, Samantha's father, in the television series *Bewitched*. He also received a Primetime Emmy Award for his performance in a 1960 television production of *Macbeth*.
