Maurice Hurley (16 August 1939 – 24 February 2015) was an American screenwriter and producer. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he wrote several episodes of the series *Miami Vice* (1984), including teleplays for "No Exit", "Golden Triangle (Part I)" and others, and contributed as a writer and teleplay author on *24* (2001). He also used the pseudonym C.J. Holland on some credits.

Hurley served as the first head writer and showrunner on *Star Trek: The Next Generation* (1987–1989), writing a dozen episodes and creating the Borg. He produced episodes of *The Equalizer* (1985–1986) and co-created the series *Pointman* (1995) with Joel Surnow. His later credits include writing and producing work on *Baywatch*, *Baywatch Nights*, *La Femme Nikita* and *Kung Fu: The Legend Continues*.
