## Biography

Maurissa Tancharoen is an American writer, producer and actress. She attended Occidental College, where she studied English and theatre and wrote award-winning plays.

She began her television career writing on the sitcom *Oliver Beene* and co-created the MTV series *Dancelife*. With her husband Jed Whedon she co-wrote *Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog* (2008). She served as a writer and story editor on *Dollhouse* (2009–2010), *Drop Dead Diva* (2009) and *Spartacus: Gods of the Arena* (2011). Tancharoen and Whedon co-created, showran and executive-produced *Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.* (2013–2020).

Her brother Kevin Tancharoen is a film director.
