## Biography

Mawaan Rizwan is a Pakistani-born British actor, comedian and writer. Born in Lahore in 1992, he began his career making YouTube sketches as a teenager before training at the clown school École Philippe Gaulier near Paris.

He has written episodes of CBeebies series including *Swashbuckle*, *Spot Bots* and *Apple Tree House*, as well as two episodes of the Netflix series *Sex Education* (2020–2021). Rizwan created, wrote and starred in the BBC Three comedy *Juice* (2023–), for which he won a British Academy Television Award. His acting credits include *Two Weeks to Live* (2020) and appearances on *Taskmaster*. His brother Nabhaan Rizwan is also an actor.
