Max Bergunker (1885–1969) was a Russian-born American composer of film scores. Born in Mykolaiv in the Russian Empire, he emigrated to the United States in 1924 and was naturalised as an American citizen in 1929.

He worked on scores for films during the transition from silent to sound pictures in the late 1920s and early 1930s, often uncredited or in collaboration. His contributions include *The Patriot* (1928), directed by Ernst Lubitsch and co-composed with Gerard Carbonara and Domenico Savino; *The Shopworn Angel* (1928); *Chinatown Nights* (1929); and *Fighting Caravans* (1931). He died in Brooklyn, New York.
