## Biography

Max Borenstein is an American screenwriter. He was born on 20 June 1981 in Los Angeles, California.

While a senior at Yale University, Borenstein wrote, directed and edited the independent feature *Swordswallowers and Thin Men* (2003). His screenplay *What Is Life Worth?* was included on The Black List and was later filmed as *Worth* (2020). He also wrote the screenplay *Jimi* for Legendary Pictures.

Borenstein wrote the screenplays for *Godzilla* (2014) and *Kong: Skull Island* (2017), and contributed to the story of *Godzilla: King of the Monsters* (2019) and the screenplay for *Godzilla vs. Kong* (2021). On television he created and wrote for *The Terror: Infamy* (2019) and co-created *Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty* (2022–2023). He also wrote *Hypnotic* (2023) and *Worth* (2020).
