## Biography

Max Hug Williams is a cinematographer specialising in natural history and wildlife documentaries. He holds an MSc in Behavioural Ecology and a BSc (Hons) in Zoology. After working as a camera assistant to director of photography Chris Openshaw, he was selected for the BBC Natural History Unit camera bursary.

His credits include *Planet Earth II* (2016), for which he filmed sequences on islands, *Seven Worlds One Planet* (2019), the *Asia* series (2024), *Wild Arabia* (2013) and *Life in Colour* (2021). He has contributed to numerous other BBC productions such as *Operation Snow Tiger* (2013) and *Human Planet* (2011), as well as Disney Nature projects. Williams has received Emmy and BAFTA nominations for cinematography.
