## Biography

Maxine Lapiduss is an American television writer, producer and director. She was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School and the Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama. She began performing stand-up comedy at the age of fourteen.

Lapiduss wrote for and produced episodes of several sitcoms, including *Roseanne* (1988), *Home Improvement* (1991), *Ellen* (1994) and *Dharma & Greg* (1997). Her contributions to *Roseanne* coincided with an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series and a Golden Globe award for the series. She has also directed episodes of the Disney Channel series *Jessie*.

In 2014 she co-founded Storyverse Studios in Los Angeles, where she serves as CEO.
