## Biography

May Chan is an American writer and producer of television series, particularly in animation and children's programming. She began her career with production assistant roles before moving into writing.

Her early credits include work as a writer on *Avatar: The Last Airbender* (2005), contributing to multiple episodes as staff writer and writing "The Boiling Rock, Part 1". She later wrote episodes and provided story credits for *Phineas and Ferb* (2007).

Chan has written for series including *Voltron: Legendary Defender*, *Carmen Sandiego*, *My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic*, *Fast & Furious Spy Racers* and *The Legend of Vox Machina*. She created, wrote and executive produced the live-action series *Surfside Girls* (2022). In 2018 she won a Writers Guild of America Award for her work on an American Girl television special.
