## Biography

May Wynn (born Donna Lee Hickey) was an American actress. She began performing as a dancer at New York's Copacabana nightclub in her late teens and made her film debut in uncredited roles before receiving her first credited part, under her birth name, in *The Farmer Takes a Wife* (1953).

She adopted the stage name May Wynn after playing the character of that name, a nightclub singer, in *The Caine Mutiny* (1954). Her other film roles include *The Violent Men* (1955), *The Man Is Armed* (1956) and *The White Squaw* (1956). She also appeared in the television series *Noah's Ark* (1956–57).

Wynn was married to actor Jack Kelly from 1956 to 1964. After retiring from acting around 1960, she worked as a realtor and as a teacher's aide.
