She trained at the Centro de Educación Artística in Oaxaca and later at the University Theater Center of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Sérbulo is known for roles in *Y Tu Mamá También* (2001) as Mabel Juárez de Carranza, *The Mexican* (2001) as Emanuelle, *Apocalypto* (2006) as a young woman, and *Get the Gringo* (2012) as a nurse. She has received four Ariel Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress.
