Megan McDonnell is an American screenwriter. She graduated from Harvard University and earned an MFA from the Peter Stark Producing Program at the University of Southern California in 2016. She began her career producing the Scriptnotes podcast before moving into writing.

McDonnell wrote two episodes of the Disney+ series *WandaVision* (2021) and co-wrote the screenplay for the film *The Marvels* (2023) with Nia DaCosta and Elissa Karasik. She wrote three episodes of the Apple TV+ series *Dark Matter* (2024).
